Support the Denville Volunteer Fire Department

During and after Hurricane Irene, The Denville Volunteer Fire Department served the Township of Denville with evacuations, fire calls, medical calls, transports and pump outs resulting in over 800 man-hours in three days. The Denville Fire Department, continued to pump out residences and businesses for weeks following the flood.  The Denville Fire Department also sustained loss due to the Hurricane, in the form of their firehouse. Valley View Company 3 was flooded out by the Rockaway River, and was condemned after the storm. Water damaged the backup generator, causing the pumps in the basement to stop, leaving the basement filled with water up to the bays. The firehouse suffered water and structural damage. Valley View Fire House was ultimately deemed unsafe to house the two fire engines and one ambulance. Valley View Fire House will be closed until further notice and the apparatus will be located at the Denville Township Department of Public Works. Valley View Company 3 provides fire and first aid protection for the Denville residents and businesses north of the Rockaway River.  The fire department would like to thank the Denville Community for their continual support. If you are able to contribute to the Denville Volunteer Fire Department in their relief efforts, please contact the board of chiefs at 973-627-0720 or send donations to the Denville Fire Department Association at 2 Indian Road Denville NJ 07834.
